Saxilby Drama Circle always entertain and amuse their audience. As normal this night at the Music Hall fully entertained the audience from the beginning. The ambience of the theatre with the bunting and flags, and the enthusiasm of the 30-strong cast enthralled the audience from the first to last note.

The cast took us through two world wars, from the start of music hall right through to the early years of the modern variety show. The evening was packed with great songs, good sketches and lots of laughter. Because of the enthusiams of the cast this washed over to the audience, who were standing up and swaying all evening. The finale - bearing in mind it was Poppy weekend -  was Land of Hope and Glory, with everyone waving Union Jacks which had been supplied. Together with the bunting and the poppies it was remarkable.

This was a wonderful end to a lovely evening.
