This group has only recently joined NODA, so this was my first opportunity to meet the members and it was a delight to see them so well supported with a full house.

The programme was based around the theme of James Bond for the first half, and the second half showcased drama, music and dance which the young members have been working on as well as being an opportunity to fundraise and promote their next production, “South Pacific”.

The theme was carried through from the programme content to the table names and the cast members wearing their evening wear. We even had a mini “Blofeld” complete with cat.

The programme did not name the individual performers in each piece, but the majority of the work involved the entire company. The James Bond sketch was a piece written by the youngsters involving several “Jane Blondes”, and was a clever twist on the subject! There were many excellent music performances, my favourites being “Budapest”, “Skyfall”, “Just the Way You Are”, the “Matilda” selection and the “South Pacific” taster.

The young people were obviously enjoying themselves as were their audience. This, together with a James Bond quiz (our table came second!), created very entertaining evening. Congratulations to all involved.
