Matthew Jacques

Matthew began his career by serving a 6-year apprenticeship in the props workshop of the Royal Shakespeare Company at the age of 16. He spent 8 years in total there and then took redundancy to work in the commercial world as general joiner and furniture maker In 2004 he rejoined the RSC this time in the scenic workshop where he spent 12 years working on a rich and diverse array of shows for both in house performances and tours alike.   He left in September 2016 to found his own company in Stratford Upon Avon - Matthew Jacques Workshop Ltd.   The company produce scenery and props for performance companies across the UK.  They also make exhibition stands, pinball cabinets as well as high end shop fits and anything else they get thrown at them!
