Alan Tinston Memorial Award

ALAN TINSTON

For over 60 years Alan was at the heart of music in Northamptonshire and beyond. On 4th June 2011 a memorial concert was held in Northampton to celebrate Alan's life and musical career. Many of the musical groups Alan had been associated with took part along with friends and family.　 It was a superb evening an raised over £800. The money is being donated to the Northamptonshire Music an Performing Arts Service who are initiating an "Alan Tinston Award" to encourage young , talented　 performers across the County.　 The award will be introduced as from the beginning of the 2011 academic year.
